Members of the network femTUme introduced us to the laboratory of the Institute for Energy Systems and Thermodynamics (IET) on 8.04.2022, including the sCO2 plant, the test stands for the sandTES concept and the digital twin of a thermal energy storage system. After gaining an insight into the laboratory and the current projects, there was also the opportunity for a joint wind down. Our thanks go to the IET for the invitation as well as to Viktoria Illyes and Carlotta Tubeuf for the organization and the exciting guided tour.

A well-established network of universities worldwide is available to you. Relevant coursework is credited towards the degree. Advanced internships can also be undertaken in industry after prior consultation with the Dean of Studies.

The following regulations/requirements for the issuance of a certificate for an elective internship (equivalent to the courses 'Wahlübungen Technologisch') apply specifically to Chemical and Process Engineering (for Sustainable Production):
- The industrial internship activity is relevant to the process engineering degree program.
- A written report is submitted by the student, showing the relation to the process engineering course and including at least the following contents
- the task
- the activities carried out
- if applicable, and if no NDA prevents it, summarised results of the activity
- a summary.
- A confirmation from the supervisor in the industrial company (e.g. service certificate), from which the nature and extent (working hours per week) of the activity can be derived in terms of ETCS points and an evaluation in terms of a grade.
- One week of full-time work corresponds to approximately 1 ECTS, provided that the work carried out is exclusively relevant to the subject.

The Student Council of Mechanical Engineering provides many services for students, including giving enrolment advice.

The "Angleichungskurs Mathematik" (VU) offered at TU Wien is recognised as a free elective subject to the extent of 1 ECTS credit point in all regular Bachelor's programmes at TU Wien after positive completion.
