The internal control system at TU Wien was set up in 2011 and fundamentally renewed in 2015 when it was integrated into the Finance Department. Since then, the processes of the internal control system have been checked for up-to-dateness every two years and annual spot checks have been carried out for key controls. In 2022, the E922 ICS Officer was newly established. The next major conceptual change started in 2023 and includes a clearly defined annual update process and clear assignments of responsibilities.
