For Dynamic Driving and Enhanced Vehicle Control on Race Tracks and Roads

The aim of the project is the development and evaluation of a virtual driving instructor that is able

  • to analyse and evaluate the driving style and vehicle control of the human driver
  • to give individual live-feedback while driving on the track, a more detailed live-protocol in a GUI and a comprehensive offline report
  • depending on the driver skills
  • to identify driver types
  • on race tracks or roads without a given trajectory of the track
  • and to train the driver by giving tasks ahead of a segment of the track and immediate live feedback about the performance

Most of the above project tasks are finished, tested and evaluated with different drivers and driver skills (including professional race drivers) on various race tracks (including proving grounds and GP circuits).
