Workgroup on Functional Analysis
Research Interests
Our research areas include operator and spectral theory. Emphasis is on spaces with indefinite scalar product, harmonic analysis, real and complex analysis in their connection with functional analysis, in particular de Branges spaces of entire functions.
The main areas of focus of our scientific work are:
- spaces with indefinite scalar product (Krein or Pontryagin spaces)
- De Branges spaces of entire functions
- operator theoretic problems in mathematical physics: spectral theory of Schrödinger operators or Hamiltonian systems
- Interpolation problems of classical analysis (positive definite functions, functions with non-negative real part, etc.), moment problems
