Analog Neural Networks based on State Space Models

The proposed AnalogSSM layer is modeled as a diagonal and real-valued SSM. After parameter fitting in PyTorch, the model parameters are used to synthesize the electric circuits, reflecting the true continuous-time transfer function representation of the learned SSM parameters. Verification of the synthesized circuits to compare discrete (PyTorch) and continuous (LTspice) is done by circuit simulation. — © Matthias Bittner
