Maya Kiskinova got her Masters in Chemistry from Sofia State University, received Ph.D and Sc. D. Habilitation in Physical Chemistry. Hold research positions in Bulgarian Academy of Science, visiting scientist at NIST (USA), IGF-KFA (Germany) and University of Pittsburgh (USA). 1990-2021 senior scientist and research coordinator at Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste. Obtained Italian citizenship for scientific merits in 2002, Distinguished Humboldt Research Grant in 2005 and DESY Silberne Ehrennadel for significant contributions in the field of photon science. Since 2021 Elettra Fellow. Expertise: Nano-structured organic and inorganic materials, thin films, interfaces, surface reactions and catalysis, chemical reactivity, mass transport, electronic and magnetic properties, fuel and solar cells, nano- toxicology and transient states of matter. Last 25 years of research activities focused on exploring the properties and transient states of matter at sub-micrometer length scales and development of relevant synchrotron and FEL-based methodology. Publications and Dissemination: Over 350 articles in reviewed journals, 15 invited reviews and articles, one book, five book chapters and 2 U.S. Patents. Over 100 invited, keynote and plenary lectures at International Congresses, Conferences, Symposia and Workshops. H-Index=51.
