The GUT email distribution list for mailings is location-based and accesses the address data stored in TISS.

If a mailing concerns the building in which your office is located, you will only receive it if the corresponding room number is stored in your TISS business card.

Example: A dispatch for the water shut-off in the main wing Karlsplatz AA
➔ reaches all persons with a room number entered in TISS,
     which begins with AA (e.g. AA 01 23).

Please check whether your room number is stored in your TISS business card.
If this is the case, please check that it is up-to-date and correct.

Please contact the responsible security service, opens an external URL in a new window at the respective location and ask them whether the lost item has been handed in or found.
If this is not the case, please contact the Vienna Lost Property Office, opens an external URL in a new window auf..
It is also advisable to report the loss to the police. 

If it is a wallet that contains debit/credit cards,
please remember to have all cards cancelled at the respective bank.

When ordering furniture, a distinction is made between furniture for permanent and temporary use.

 

Furniture for permanent use:

In order to order office equipment, you need a written justification (e.g. by e-mail) from the responsible head of department.
For larger purchases (~4 employees or more), a written confirmation from the respective dean is required.

If you have fulfilled all these criteria, please create a ticket to order the desired furniture.

Please remember to state the required quantity and colour from the equipment catalogue, opens a file in a new window.
These will then be ordered for you. Please allow a delivery period of approx. 6 weeks for your order.

If necessary, you also have the option of purchasing ergonomic products from us.
Clarification by the occupational health service is required before ordering.

Furniture for temporary use (e.g. for events):

If you require this, please contact the Department of Event Services and Teaching Room Support.

It is possible to borrow chalk and markers for the duration of the course from the safety lodge responsible at the respective location.
 

The logistics team will take care of the disposal, including shredding, of your sensitive data.
On request, we can also provide you with blue bags for storing or transporting the data waste.

According to §8 e) of the TU Wien House Rules, the bringing and keeping of animals, with the exception of guide dogs and therapy dogs, requires the prior authorisation of the member of the Rectorate responsible in accordance with the RP, who can delegate this authorisation procedure to the TU GUT. If such authorisation is granted, dogs must be kept with a muzzle and lead in public areas of the university premises.

The transport of a dog is authorised subject to revocation at any time under the following conditions:

- Written consent from colleagues and superiors
- The dog is suitable for the office - in terms of health (copy of vaccination certificate) and behaviour
- The dog is insured (proof of insurance) and you are liable for any damage regardless of fault 

Please send the above documents and confirmation of the above requirements including a photo and a brief description of the dog to gut@gut.tuwien.ac.at.
Please also state the room number of the office where the dog will be staying.

Institute employees have the option of borrowing e-cars and e-bikes.  
This rental system is exclusively for commuting between TU locations.

In principle, we are well connected to the public transport network of the city of Vienna and recommend that you use it for the sake of the environment.
