General information:

Objectives: Erasmus Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short, intensive teaching programmes using innovative learning and teaching methods, including online collaboration. For students, they allow for more flexible mobility formats combining physical mobility with a compulsory virtual component.

General conditions: At least 3 universities from EU Member States or Associated Programme Countries create a joint teaching programme, which must include a physical mobility phase (min. 5 - max. 30 days) and a virtual component (e.g. for teamwork).

A minimum of 15 mobile Erasmus-funded students must participate in order for the programme to be eligible for funding.

Funding: The host (usually coordinating) university receives funding for the implementation of the teaching programme on site: 400 EUR per participant - for a minimum of 15 but a maximum of 20 funded/mobile participants.

The sending universities finance students and teachers through Erasmus mobility grants.

Credits: A minimum of 3 ECTS credits must be guaranteed for participating students.

BIP at TU Wien: Please notify the International Office (see above) of your participation in a BIP in advance, so that the financial support from Erasmus+ funds can be ensured.
