On February 25, 2025, Dr. Laura Crocetti from ETH Zürich (Institute of Geodesy and Photogrammetry, Space Geodesy ) gave a talk in our Geo Colloquium series. Laura is a graduate of the Geodesy master at TU Wien.

Abstract:

Machine learning (ML) techniques offer the possibility to analyse geodetic data and products from different perspectives and help scientists to explore large amounts of data. The presentation provides examples of the successful application of ML, in particular the development of a global troposphere model and improved modeling of GNSS station movements.
