Two visiting researchers have started working with us in March.

Two visiting researchers have joined our Autonomous Systems Lab to collaborate with our team to enhance Human-Robot Collaboration in real scenarios.

We are happy to collaborate with these two visiting researchers, who each come from a different lab:

  • Michele Ferrari is a PhD student at the University of Brescia, Italy, and the National Research Council of Italy (STIIMA Institute). His research is centered on human-robot interaction, focusing on perception and proactive planning. In his work he explores using cameras to track human operators and extract predictive models of their movements over time. The goal is to improve collaboration between humans and robots in industrial and dynamic environments by enhancing the robot's ability to anticipate human actions.
  • Giuseppe Infantone is a third-year PhD candidate in the National PhD Program in Robotics and Intelligent Machines (PNRRI) at the University of Pisa. His research centers on humanoid robotics for real-world service applications, with a particular focus on simplifying human–robot interaction. He develops intuitive programming methods that enable non-experts to teach and deploy robotic skills in dynamic environments, such as homes and hospitals. Specifically, his work explores Learning from Demonstration (LfD) techniques under nonholonomic constraints, and he collaborates with TU Wien to enhance the robustness of task execution against unexpected real-world events.

This shows how closely our lab collaborates with various research groups!
