Research into digital technologies such as BIM, computational design and XR to advance the sustainable planning and optimisation of the built environment.

As part of the GCD – Center for Geometry and Computational Design at the TU Wien, we conduct interdisciplinary cutting-edge research in collaboration with the faculties of Informatics, Mathematics, Architecture and Civil Engineering. Our goal is to fundamentally research future design processes, generate new knowledge, and develop innovative, customised digital tools for design.

The FWF special research programme Advanced Computational Design, opens an external URL in a new window has earned us international recognition in basic research in the field of digital design.
