Student Assistent Matteo Holzmann, BSc.

 

Interests: Regional planning, rural and alpine areas, social and spatial transformation

Matteo Holzmann grew up in Grenoble (France) and studied urban and regional planning at the Technical University of Berlin between 2020 and 2024. In March 2024, he started his Master's degree in “Spatial Planning and Spatial Development” in Vienna. In his bachelor's thesis, he dealt with the Moritz-Ziller Prize 2023 in Radebeul (Saxony, Germany) and the contribution of main streets to urban identity. Together with Klaus Brandt and Maleen Nothaft, he developed a design of three different important places in the city and a study on the significance of the main street for the local residents. He was able to gain experience through his work as a student assistant (Department of Urban Planning and Development).

Since March 2025, he has been working as a study assistant for the Regional Planning and Regional Development research area and is responsible for address management, administrative support for the website, exam organization and IT agendas. He is also responsible for the minutes of the Study Commission and the Faculty Council.
