Interests: Regional planning, participation, science communication, gender-equitable spatial planning, conflict research, spatial development policy

Karoline Hadek studied political science at the University of Vienna from 2018 to 2021 and spatial planning since 2021. In her bachelor's theses, she analyzed the demands of the Green Party in the STEP 2025 as a counter-hegemonic practice in Red Vienna, and how the City of Vienna deals with planning-related protests. She gained practical experience as a tutor, in the city administration of Traiskirchen and in the urban research laboratory bauhaus reuse in Berlin. Since June 2024, she has been working as a study assistant at the Research Unit Regional Planning and Regional Development and is responsible for the administrative support of the website, exam organization and IT agendas. She also works in the project land.mobil:LAB.
