As part of our MOVE.Walks excursion and discussion course, we were out and about on our bikes on 13 March 2025: together with Julius Holländer and Lorenz Siegel from the Vienna Mobility Agency, our students were able to experience the various sections.
There were stops, explanations and lots of interested questions in Argentinierstraße, Vienna's first cycle route based on the Dutch model, in Tangentenpark at the never-realised Simmering motorway exit, Herndlgasse, an important gap closure in the former ‘black hole of Favoriten’ and the new Wiedner Hauptstraße. There was a look ahead to the brand new 2025 cycle expansion programme, for example with the plans for Neilreichgasse.
We are always happy to be able to discuss various aspects of cycle traffic planning with the experts from the Mobility Agency, from minimum widths and curve radii to strategic network planning and political processes!
