University Conference for Transport 2024: Expert exchange in Geras

From 22 to 24 September 2024, the annual university conference for transport engineering took place in Geras in the Waldviertel. The event was attended by 75 experts from 21 German and Austrian universities.

The first evening started with interactive workshops, followed by plenary presentations and thematic workshops over the following days. A particular highlight was the large number of papers presented in five different sessions:

Mobility Behaviour and Survey Methods
Modelling and Simulation
Simulation and Trajectories
Actors and Planning Processes
Infrastructure Planning, Transport Networks & Floating Car Data

Another highlight of the second day was the private ride on the Reblaus-Express to Retz. After three exciting sessions, participants were able to round off the evening with a relaxing get-together in a wine tavern.

The event offered a varied programme and many opportunities for professional exchange. We are looking forward to the next University Conference in Duisburg/Essen in 2025!
