Cooperation between ICT and Sleeve GmbH

The Institute of Computer Technology at TU Wien and Sleeve GmbH are working together on the further development of FPGA data analysis.

Cooperation

The Institute of Computer Technology at TU Wien and Sleeve GmbH, opens an external URL in a new window, a leading provider of innovative solutions for global access to distributed infrastructures, have announced a joint research project focusing on the generation and analysis of real-time data from FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays).

The partnership aims to revolutionize the way FPGAs are monitored in real time and contribute to optimization and high-end performance. The project involves generating various real-time data from the physical parameters of an FPGA, based on the configuration and execution of different use cases with different computational requirements. This data will then be seamlessly transferred to the Sleeve Hub interface developed by Sleeve GmbH, where it will be processed for further analysis and parameterization.

The project is expected to deliver valuable results for performance optimization in the areas of industrial edge computing, reconfigurable systems (e.g. for multi-tenant environments), etc. Both Sleeve GmbH and TU Wien are committed to sharing the results of this research with the general public through publications and presentations.

Institute of Computer Technology

The research of the Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at TU Wien is characterized by the areas of “Systems on Chip”, “Software-intensive Systems” and “Autonomous Systems”. The team focuses on innovative and future-oriented technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, automated driving and cyber security.

This commitment is reflected not only in the innovative research, but also in the quality of the training, which has already won several awards.
