Energy is crucial for achieving most of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations to ensure global sustainable economic, social and environmental development. Nevertheless, more than 1 billion people live without electricity and more than 3 billion cook without clean fuels and more efficient technologies – there remain major challenges on our journey to a future with access to sustainable energy for all. The Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs invites to a discussion on global energy issues with students and high-level experts from the European Union and the Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centres.
