#EoI - Explaining your technology to non-experts

Workshop

As a scientist or engineer, you are daily working at the forefront of innovation, developing breakthroughs for society. As technology continues to evolve, so does the need to effectively communicate it in an understandable way to non-experts.

Within deep tech organizations, successful workplace interactions are often based on the individuals' ability to inspire collaboration with representatives outside their field, intuitively express their ideas, and solve problems together. Nonetheless, this skill is even more valuable in research contexts when lobbying for funding is necessary. So how can a technical professional explain technical ideas easily to a non-technical audience? Join us to find out!

This workshop will present various tips and tricks on how to:

  • formulate information in a clear and compelling way
  • use storytelling in order to keep your audience engaged
  • introduce your technology with a memorable approach
  • build up your stage presence
