Join our online public lecture series on sustainability in computer science this winter semester.

On October 30, 2023, the public lecture series “Sustainability in Computer Science” focuses on the next topic.

Philipp Gschwandtner, deputy head of the Research Center HPC at the the University of Innsbruck, will give a talk on “Green HPC: Paving the Way for Sustainable Supercomputing”.

Whether you’re a student, a professional looking to expand your knowledge, or a citizen interested in sustainability issues – this lecture series is open to anyone.

This public lecture series is the first of its kind in Austria, with all Austrian computer science departments and faculties participating, under the auspices of Informatik Austria. We want to raise awareness for the utmost importance of sustainability in CS, demonstrating research solutions to various problems, and triggering developments for a sustainable future.
