ERC Proof of concept meets EIC Transition Open

Workshop

Frontier research often generates radically new ideas that drive innovation and business inventiveness and tackle societal challenges.

ERC Proof of Concept Grants aim at maximising the value of the excellent research that the ERC funds, by funding further work to verify the innovation potential of ideas arising from ERC funded projects. The objective is to enable ERC-funded ideas to progress on the path from ground-breaking research towards innovation. EIC Transition funds innovation activities that go beyond the experimental proof of principle in laboratory to support both: the maturation and validation of your novel technology in the lab and in relevant application environments and the development of a business case and (business) model towards the innovation’s future commercialisation. The expected outcomes of an EIC Transition project are: a technology that is demonstrated to be effective for its intended application and a business model, its initial validation and a business plan for its development to market. How can these grants help me during my journey from the proof of concept of my ground-breaking idea to its validation and business case development? How are these grants related to each other? How can I win both of them? Our speakers Ylva Huber (FFG-NCP ERC) and Angelo Nuzzo (FFG-NCP EIC)  will give you an answer and provide you with in-depth knowledge tips for your project proposal preparation. This workshop is exclusively designed for TU Wien researchers and it will be held in English. Join us on March 6, 2025 at 1 pm! (Door opens at 12:50.) The room will be communicated to participants by email.
