Martina Marchetti-Deschmann - our 3rd Deputy Chair of the Senate - was appointed Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna on 15 April 2025.

The Senate mourns the loss of Anna Prianichnikova

It is with deep regret that we bid farewell to Anna, an exceptionally warm-hearted and intelligent personality.

In addition to her scientific excellence in the field of logical methods in computer science, Anna
was a highly committed member of the Senate and various Senate committees, representing staff in academic and artistic teaching and research activities.

Her warmth and sharp mind left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Once she hugged me - although we hardly knew each other - and said: ‘I am Russian, I am emotional’ - an expression of her deep humanity and openness.
