TU Wien offers a range of support measures to prospective and new professors with the aim of providing them with the best possible network within TU Wien and information about TU Wien itself, as well as a means of resolving issues relating to family members and partners of professors relocating to Vienna.

SUPPORT MEASURES FOR NETWORKING AND BASIC INFORMATION

To provide new professors with the most comprehensive information about everything there is to know about TU Wien (organisational, historical issues and information about Austrian law), as well as the possibility to network across faculties, the appointment service offers the following:

- A PERSONAL 3-hours INTRODUCTION including a short tour to all City Campus Sites at TU Wien and to the Archives of TU Wien
- GUIDED SPECIAL TOURS to Service Facilities (archive and library) and Specific Campus Sites of TU Wien.These always take place in the summer months of July and September:
Thematic tours of the archive and the library of the TU Wien.
Guided tours to the campus areas (Karlsplatz campus, Getreidemarkt campus, Gusshaus campus and the Science Center).

SUPPORT MEASURES FOR ISSUES RELATING TO FAMILY MEMBERS AND PARTNERS

TU Wien Dual Career Advice offers general support for issues relating to partners and family members. This is where you can obtain information on any questions relating to "Childcare", "School" and "Living in Vienna". If you require support with further "Career planning for your partner", the Dual Career Advice Centre can use our networks to assist you. If you need support with refreshing your German language skills, through our "Language courses", you will have the opportunity to join a small group course or receive one-to-one tuition.

LIVING IN VIENNA

Regarding "Living in Vienna", please refer to the new guesthouse for universities, opens an external URL in a new window in Vienna. Depending on availability, the guesthouse enables you to rent various sizes of accommodation (from 28 m2 to more than 51 m2) with various additional packages (cleaning, laundry service, fitness and wellness, etc.). The guesthouse is located in Seestadt Aspern and can be reached by a 1/2-hour journey on the U2 from Karlsplatz, alighting at Seestadt. If you are interested, please inform them of your association with TU Wien!
