Traineeship

Erasmus traineeships are based on  a traineeship agreement, also known as the "Learning Agreement for Traineeship". This is concluded between the student, TU Wien and the  host institution. On the part of TU Wien, the training agreement is signed by the Dean of Academic Affairs in your field of study.

Please note: The Learning Agreement for Traineeships must be fully completed, otherwise it will not be accepted.

In addition to the company’s address and telephone number, it is also important to indicate its web address. A company stamp must accompany the signature of the company representative.

TU Wien does not arrange any contacts to companies abroad – i.e. you have to find your traineeship yourself.

Application

The application is possible at any time. From the time of agreement by the company, you should plan 2–3 months till you can submit the Training Agreement signed by all parties to the International Office of TU Wien.

Submission deadline: at least 4 weeks before the start of the traineeship, for a graduate traineeship 8 weeks before the completion of your studies.

All students who apply for an traineeship at the International Office must apply as Erasmus interns in TISS Mobility Services, opens an external URL in a new window. Please note that you must first submit the Learning Agreement for Traineeship to the International Office before you register in TISS Mobility Services.

Attention:

  • You can only apply if you are logged into TISS!
  • Software requirements: When applying in TISS, please make sure that you are using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Other browsers do not usually support data uploads in the Mobility Service.
Language test

In the course of the new Erasmus+ programme, every Erasmus intern must complete a compulsory language test before the traineeship.

Note

A maximum of one traineeship is possible in your home country. We cannot nominate any further internships in your home country as it goes against the Erasmus principle: new culture and new language.
