Innovative projects

Through the Innovative Projects internal competitive funding programme, TU Wien supports scientifically ambitious project ideas from all faculties. Particular value is placed on inter-faculty collaborations. Depending on the latest call for proposals, pioneering ideas from young researchers are supported with infrastructure or staff. The innovative nature of the project being supported is evaluated under a peer review process and then discussed in a panel meeting.

Facts:

Target audience: Scientists who have completed their doctorate within the last ten years
Objective: Support for junior researchers
Financial award: depending on type of proposal, a doctoral position for three years or infrastructure project from EUR 30,000.

Requirements:

A project proposal at an international level with a high degree of scientific quality
Originality and innovative nature of the project content
Strong track record of academic publication
Planned project to be carried out at TU Wien
Suitable team of researchers and support staff
