Testimonials

Stockholm in Winter
View of the Swedish Royal Palace in Stockholm.

"I just really wanted to go north instead of south for my semester abroad and Sweden just appealed to me with its nature and the surrounding sea. Plus the opportunity to go even further north than Stockholm and experience a proper winter with loads of snow and maybe even polar lights sounded great. I love Stockholm for its nature - the forests, the sea and all those islands really are breathtaking. Additionally, the "Fika" culture of Sweden was amazing - I can always go for some coffee and pastry! And as a bonus: Gamla Stan, the old town is very beautiful as well."

"I speak Spanish fluently thanks to a student exchange when I was 15 and Barcelona is always worth a visit. I chose it over the other Spanish speaking countries, because it is situated at the sea. The best about Barcelona as a city was the way of life. The long nights, the chill middays and the beautiful mornings. I took Acoustics and had a lot of fun, not only during the lab but also when studying for the exam and doing homework. I would have loved to travel a bit more and see more of Spain, but to do this I would have needed to stay longer.

Go on Erasmus! The only thing you will regret is not doing it!"

"I enjoy mountains and lakes, hence Zurich seemed like a great option. Furthermore, ETH has an excellent academic reputation with focus on topics I am interested in. Quantum Field Theory I (10 ECTS) is a lecture I can highly recommend, the lecturer and teaching assistants in the exercises are really great!"

"I wanted to go to Italy and Rome was the only bigger city (except for Milan) that was possible. I loved the culture, the language and the cultural offers of the city."

"I chose Sapienza because it has a very good faculty of physics, loads of archeological and cultural places to visit and for espresso & food."

"I liked best the whole vibe of the city. It just feels free, interesting, inspiring and unique! The best lecture I attended was Modern Neuroscience. It was a practical at Charité with mice experiments and very interesting.

There‘s nothing I‘d change about my stay, it was amazing the way it was!"
