Urban Heat Equality - Heat stress in the city of Vienna (final presentation)

Like many other major cities around the world, Vienna has experienced one record-breaking summer after another in recent years. Both the spring and summer of 2024 were the hottest on record. Climate change has undoubtedly arrived in Vienna and is manifesting itself in particular in increasing heat stress. The research project Urban Heat Equality, funded by the Climate and Energy Fund, deals with the increasing heat stress in the city of Vienna. The focus is on decision-making processes for nature-based solutions such as parks and façade greening and the resulting impact on different social groups.

Selected results from the project will be presented at the closing event.
