Unfortunately, there are no guided tours at the moment!

We are pleased over many guests which have used our guided tours in recent years to learn more about the research reactor and its opportunities.

In a guided tour, which usually takes about 1 - 1.5 hours, you will visit our TRIGA reactor, learn about topics like nuclear physics, reactor physics, neutron- and radiation physics and radiation protection. Therefore, a guided tour at the ATI is perfectly suited as a practical complement for the curriculum physics of the 8th and/or 12th school levels. The group size should be ideally from 10 to 15 people (for school classes incl. teacher). At maximum, 2 groups can be guided simultaneously. Each school group has to be accompanied by a teacher. Tours will be given between 9:00 and 15:00.

If you are interested, please contact our secretary 1-3 month in advance (ati.fuehrungen@tuwien.ac.at) to arrange a visit adding the following information:

  • Name of the school, address, class and UID-number
  • Number of participants
  • Preferred date and time (at least forenoon/afternoon)

There will be a service charge of EURO 75.- per group, which you have to pay at least 3 weeks in advance to our bank account.

We kindly ask for your understanding that pregnant and / or breast-feeding women are not allowed in the restricted areas.
