The institute currently has locations in the 6th, 3rd, and 22nd districts of Vienna.

The headquarters of the institute is located at Getreidemarkt in the 6th district, in the worldwide first "Plus-Energie-Bürohochhaus", opens an external URL in a new window.

The TEC-Lab of the Institute of Production Engineering is based in the Science Center of TU Wien in the 3rd district and encompasses approximately 4,300 m² of laboratory space.

Some project activities of the institute are situated in the Pilot Factory in Seestadt.
