TU Wien Academic Press – New release: „CONVIVIA FILTH“

First Volume of the MERIDIAN ARCHITECTONICS Series

TU Wien Academic Press - New release: „CONVIVIA FILTH“

"CONVIVIA FILTH" explores the concept of architectonics in the twenty-first century, examining it as a discipline that transcends traditional architecture. Architectonics, in this context, engages with reality in an abstract yet constructive manner. The publication presents the indeterminacy brought about by contemporary science as a liberation from established ontological and epistemological principles, viewing this as an opportunity to approach the articulation of principles as an 'art' — autonomous, though neither automatic nor autarkic.

Convivia positions itself as a platform for discussions on architectonics, grounded in a communicational physics that is both concrete and abstract, reasoned in an exploratory and projective way. The aim is to create a series of "banquets" — convivia — where the intellectual "courses" offered go beyond mere consumption, addressing instead the complex interplay between necessity and contingency. It is particularly interested in how contingencies shape necessities and how understanding what is necessary can, in turn, create new contingencies.
