Institute of Water Quality and Resource Management

Water and solid raw materials are essential for the material cycle in anthropogenic systems. We develop result-oriented methods to use resources in an environmentally sound and efficient manner. Our research contributes to ensuring that the environment is not polluted by wastewater, that drinking water and water catchment areas as a whole are maintained in high quality, that raw materials that have already been used, such as nutrients and building materials, are returned to a cycle, and that pollutants are disposed of in an environmentally compatible manner. Solutions for this must be environmentally compatible and technically as well as economically efficient and effective.
