Climate-Neutral Museum at Cottbuser Ostsee

In the harbor district at Cottbus East Lake, the Carboneum Cultural Forum is planned, featuring multiple exhibitions (history of lignite mining, Sorbian-Wendish culture and traditions, structural change and transformation), education and research facilities, as well as events and gastronomy. The themes of the exhibitions are intended to be reflected in the architectural design and building concept, with a particular focus on operating the building in a climate-neutral manner and constructing it using sustainable materials.
