Switching to transport bikes brings enthusiasm to companies

As part of our ANTRIEB research project, six companies in Vienna and Graz are able to test e-bikes free of charge for one year and experience their advantages and challenges in all four seasons. We have captured the voices of the test companies and their enthusiasm for this new way of mobility in a video.

As part of the ‘ANTRIEB’ research project, six businesses in Vienna and Graz have been testing e-transport bikes free of charge for a year since July 2024. The participating businesses report that they get to their destinations faster, avoid parking problems and move around the city more flexibly. Heavy equipment can be transported effortlessly, and narrow alleyways and pedestrianised zones are easily accessible. The use of bikes also encourages movement during working hours and reduces CO₂ emissions. The companies not only appreciate the practical benefits, but also the fun factor - riding is perceived as motivating and enriching. The project shows how versatile e-cargo bikes are in everyday working life and that cargo bikes can be an environmentally friendly and practical alternative to cars.

The TV Salon camera team captured the enthusiasm of the companies in a dynamic video. TV Salon shoots the reports for the weekly ORF programme ‘Rund ums Rad’ (German for ‘All Around Bikes’) and has thus come across the cargo bike itself.
