Event series "Focus on Research"

A lot of research is conducted at TU Wien. There are also continuous research projects on climate protection and climate adaptation. Regular professional dialogue is essential for a sustainable future.

The event series "Focus on Research" has been held every autumn since 2015 in cooperation between the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and TU Wien (departments "Research Coordination" and "Funding Advice and Business Cooperation").

The series addresses current and interdisciplinary topics and presents the results of application-oriented research projects at TU Wien in cooperation with companies. The event has a new thematic focus every year.

Focus on research 2023: "Climate-fit city"

This year's event took place on Wednesday, 4 October in the afternoon. The focus was on climate resilience approaches, i.e. projects on topics such as energy efficiency, improving the urban energy and CO2 balance, climate change adaptation and much more. Ultimately, the aim is to implement climate-resilient, holistic solutions to improve the quality of life and the environment in cities.

In addition to researchers, the invited target group included companies, public administration and other organisations interested in technology.

The event was divided into two blocks:

  1. Materials in the climate-friendly city
  2. Living space in the climate-fit city

The presentations of all speakers are available for download under the respective abstracts (links above).
