In order to create suitable visions of transformation for the region, the focus was on researching the region, its structures and interdependencies, as well as getting to know local identities.

The students engaged in direct exchange with residents and visitors to the Krems city region. Experiences were collected, sorted and shared in workshops. With a visit to the Krems wineries, we paid tribute to an essential part of the region's identity.

The course takes place in cooperation with the research unit Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning (landscape, opens an external URL in a new window) and is supervised by Elias Grinzinger and Nina Svanda (research unit Regional Planning and Regional Development), Céline Schmidt-Hamburger (research unit Transport System Planning) as well as Boris Salak and Nikola Pohl (landscape). The Master's project enables interdisciplinary learning and planning through the networking of architecture and spatial planning students.
