Run for those who can't walk

On Sunday, May 04, 2025, it's once again time to “Run for those who can't walk”. The Wings for Life World Run a charity run has been taking place since 2014 and starts simultaneously in 33 countries!

The story behind it

The driving forces behind the founding of Wings for Life were three-time motocross world champion Heinz Kinigadner and Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz. A serious accident involving Kinigadner's son Hannes at a charity motocross race in 2003, which resulted in severe paraplegia, was the decisive impetus for setting up the foundation. Hannes Kinigadner's fate is representative of millions of people who are paraplegic as a result of a spinal cord injury.
