Prof. Circella will discuss the changes brought by the introduction and adoption of shared e-scooters in cities in the United States vs. Europe, their impacts on urban mobility, how their usage has changed after the COVID-19 pandemic, and how different groups of travelers use these services and reasons behind/motivations affecting their use.

Bio:

Giovanni Circella is a BOF Tenure-track Professor of Mobility in the Department of Geography of Ghent University, and the Head of the Master School in Urban Mobility of the European Institute of Technology. He is also the Honda Distinguished Scholar for New Mobility Studies and Director of the 3 Revolutions Future Mobility Program at the University of California, Davis.
