The EU project Antiversa, in which we participate with the research of Julia Vierheilig and Irina Dielacher, and which aims to understand how resistant genes spread in soils and rivers, is featured today by FWF as project of the week!
The interview to our project partner
Markus Wögerbauer from AGES - Österreichische Agentur für Gesundheit und Ernährungssicherheit, öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster  provides an excellent synthesis of the problem, scientific questions and of the work done so far.
The main conclusion: “The healthier the ecosystem and the less outside stress it is exposed to, the better it is for us and the less hospitable it is for antibiotic-resistant bacteria,”
Stay tuned for the final report and for the full detailed results. Coming soon...
