Architecture students Martin and Juan from TU Wien are currently on a research exchange at Saga University — and were recently invited by local newspaper Saga Shimbun for a special interview about their work and experiences in Japan.
They were welcomed by CEO Seiichiro Nakao, who is also President of the Japan-Austria Friendship Association, alongside their host professor Nobuo Mishima — Vice President of Saga University and a long-time friend of TU Wien. Fun fact: Prof. Mishima was the first TU Wien exchange student after the 1981 agreement with the University of Tokyo!
In 2024, this strong academic bond finally became official with a new partnership agreement between TU Wien & Saga University.
On behalf of JASEC, the International Office, and TU Wien, we express our heartfelt thanks for this ongoing and inspiring collaboration!
