Over the last two days, we had the pleasure and honour of hosting the 102nd meeting of the DWA Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall Expert Group KA8, which focuses on the processes and technologies for the advanced wastewater treatment after biological treatment, and of which our colleague Norbert Kreuzinger is a member.
With the adoption of the new Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive KARL and the introduction of mandatory quaternary treatment, the work of this group has taken on an urgent significance.
The main objective of this meeting was to further develop the technical guidance and provisions for the design and operation of advanced wastewater treatment that will support and facilitate its effective implementation.
