The editorial team has set itself the task of communicating the importance of and enthusiasm for science to the general public.
With targeted communication, we position TU Wien as a leading research university, an excellent educational institution and a socially relevant institution in the public consciousness, as well as among stakeholders from business and politics.
Our goal: to make research findings, exciting insights into everyday student life and the wide range of services offered by TU Wien accessible to a broad public in a target group-oriented manner - and to show how the university's services benefit everyone.

Our measures: A colourful communication mix

In order to build a bridge between science and society/business/politics, we use a variety of communication tools:

  • Traditional media relations: We reach out to print and online media with press releases and press interviews.
  • Online PR: Current research highlights can be found on the TU Wien website and on our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, X).
  • Research newsletter: A monthly overview for internal and external subscribers with exciting research findings
  • Events and projects: TU Wien offers a diverse programme of events: on the one hand, events that are aimed at the public and bring the university to life, on the other hand, internal formats such as ‘meet the media’, which promote mutual understanding between scientists and journalists.
