FWF ESPRIT (NEW) Career Advancement for Postdocs

Information Event

In 2021 the FWF programs for postdocs are about to change. From April 2021 on it will be possible for postdocs, with their doctoral degree awarded no more than five years prior to the time of application, to apply for funding in ESPRIT. TU Wien’s Funding Support will introduce the program for the first time and also discuss TUW specifics.

FWF decided to depriciate their incoming program "Lise-Meitner" and the program for female junior scientists "Hertha Firnberg". These two programs are succeeded by the new ESPRIT, opens an external URL in a new window program. It will be open for female and male scientists at the beginning of their career, and the doctoral degree awarded no more than five years prior to the time of application.

The webinar will have three goals:

Introduction of the ESPRIT program
A detailed discussion of FWF's decision process
Discussion of program goals and reviewer questions and the implications for proposal writing.
