What does this mean for authors at TU Wien?

  • Free open access publication in all hybrid APS journals.
  • Fulfilment of the open access requirements of important funding organisations (e.g. FWF).

Funding conditions

  • The corresponding author must be a member of TU Wien at the time of the application review.
  • Article types eligible for funding: ‘Primary Research Material’ (e.g.regular articles, letters, rapid communications, reviews, perspectives, short papers).
  • Open access costs for publications with external project funding (e.g. EU, FWF) are covered by the agreement.
  • Funding from TU Wien Bibliothek must be mentioned in the acknowledgements: ‘The authors acknowledge TU Wien Bibliothek for financial support through its Open Access Funding Programme.’

Additional requirements for FWF projects:

  • CC BY 4.0 licence is mandatory.
  • FWF acknowledgement (including FWF Grant DOI) must be included in the manuscript upon submission.

How does the funding work?

  1. Affiliation with TU Wien is recognised upon submission and the article is automatically sent to the library upon acceptance.
