A Unique Donation to TU Wien from the Vienna Ernst Happel Stadium

The City of Vienna and TU Wien unveil 58 print and digital books of the iconic stadium—an invaluable resource for research, education, and sustainability efforts.

The City of Vienna, in collaboration with TU Wien, has made the comprehensive structural analysis of the heritage-listed Ernst-Happel Stadium publicly accessible. The documentation includes 58 print and digital books. As a unique 58-volume collection, this donation represents a highly valuable addition to Austria's largest scientific-technical library. The transfer to TU Wien enables research, education, and sustainable management. The model has already been used for installing a photovoltaic system as part of efforts to transform the stadium into an energy-positive facility.
