NICOLE & PROMISCES Workshop

The PROMISCES project is coming to an end and it's time to start reflecting on its many and varied final results. A great occasion for it was the NICOLE & PROMISCES Joint Spring Workshop 2025 held this week in Frankfurt.
The main findings on PFAS sources and emission pathways in the Upper Danube catchment and their transfer to groundwater via riverbank filtration were presented by three representatives of the interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral core team for this case study: Meiqi Liu from our institute, Ali Obeid from the Research Unit of Engineering Hydrology and Water Resources Management at TU Wien and Zsuzsanna Nagy-Kovács from the Budapest Waterworks.
