ZDB attending the buildingSMART International Summit in Marrakesh

The team of the ZDB presented their latest research findings on the topic of BIM-based building permission at the joint CIB W78 Conference and buildingSMART International Summit from 1 to 3 October.

For the CIB W78 conference, the Digital Building Process research team published two conference papers on "Determination of light entry areas of windows for automated code compliance checking" (https://itc.scix.net/paper/w78-2024-72, opens an external URL in a new window) and "BIM checking software requirements in the scope of the Vienna building authority" (https://itc.scix.net/paper/w78-2024-73, opens an external URL in a new window).

In addition, Simon Fischer presented a keynote on the main stage of the buildingSMART International Summit on automated escape route checks, from the definition of information requirements to automated escape route analysis and archiving of results.
