You are cordially invited to join us on Wednesday, the 8th of January at 6pm, to an online presentation by Jan Boelen, head of the Master’s programme in Social Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands and artistic director of Atelier LUMA.

Atelier LUMA is the design research laboratory of LUMA Arles. It has been located in the Parc des Ateliers d’Arles since 2017 and is closely linked to its geographical and cultural environment. The Arles bioregion is rich in natural resources and diverse expertise. The Atelier LUMA team endeavours to identify, enhance and exploit them. It is made up of a team of designers, engineers, scientists and experts in the fields of culture, crafts, humanities, social sciences and innovation who explore the potential of local, non-extractive and often discredited materials such as invasive plants, agricultural by-products, algae and industrial waste.
