New staff member at SRF: Luke Juday

Luke Juday is a lecturer and PhD-candidate interested in comparative planning, spatial demography, and the politics of land use. Before returning to research, he spent six years serving as Director of Planning and Community Development for the City of Waynesboro, Virginia. He also worked as a regional planner in the Charlottesville area and for Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center as a demographic analyst consulting with local governments on how to handle demographic change.

Luke has a bachelor’s in political philosophy and a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia the USA, where he taught for four years as an adjunct lecturer. He also studied Demography at the University of Vienna and was a Fulbright Scholar in Gaborone, Botswana.
