Political, economic and fiscal determinants of land use decisions in Austria

A new publication by IFIP in cooperation with the REGION and BODEN research departments shows that municipalities lose out fiscally through expansive land use. Decisions for the rezoning of residential and commercial areas outside of already well-developed areas are therefore subject to misjudgements and various market and planning failures.
