New Architecture Database "urbanNext"

Innovative platform for architecture, urban planning, and future urban topics now accessible via TU Wien Bibliothek

The urbanNext database covers a wide range of topics, including Energy & Sustainability, Territory & Mobility, Technology & Fabrication, and Politics & Economics. It features:

  • over 1000 architecture and urban development projects
  • more than 500 essays
  • around 600 videos
  • over 250 photo series

Four Main Content Categories

The platform's content is divided into four categories:

  • Case Studies – Outstanding architecture projects presented in articles and audiovisual contributions
  • Research – Book excerpts and academic articles
  • Insight – Interviews, podcasts, lectures, and conference presentations
  • Photographic Atlas of Cities – Photographic urban analyses by architects and experts
