ESA Living Planet Symposium 2025 is looking for volunteers

Conference will take place in Vienna, 23–27 June 2025

The Living Planet Symposium 2025, opens an external URL in a new window (LPS25), organised by the European Space Agency, opens an external URL in a new window (ESA), is one of the largest Earth observation conferences in the world. Bringing together scientists, industry leaders, policymakers, and space enthusiasts, the event will explore how Earth observation contributes to understanding and addressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable development. Volunteer roles & responsibilities

Registration & Welcome Desk– assist with QR code scanning, hand out badges & materials, and guide attendees.
Speaker Ready Area – help speakers upload and check their presentations.
Scientific & Agora Sessions– support session chairs, manage Q&A and ensure presentations are in place.
Plenary & Poster Sessions – assist participants, guide them to their seats and facilitate discussions.
Education Area Support – welcome students, distribute feedback forms and guide educational activities.
General Event Assistance – provide directions, share event schedules, and help with logistics.
Troubleshooting & Flexible Support – be ready to step in where needed!

Availability & training

A detailed shift schedule will be provided.
Pre-registration support will be required on Sunday 22 June.
A full volunteer briefing & venue tour will take place on Sunday before the event kicks off.
